Mundos desolados, paletas apagadas, iluminaci\u00f3n que parece dise\u00f1ada para generar angustia existencial antes que asombro. La pr\u00f3xima <em>Masters of the Universe<\/em>, dirigida por Travis Knight y con estreno previsto para el 5 de junio, toma nota de esa queja acumulada y decide exactamente lo contrario: Eternia va a tener color, y mucho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>UN ETERNIA QUE SE VE COMO ETERNIA DEBER\u00cdA VERSE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando Collider visit\u00f3 el set durante la producci\u00f3n londinense, la impresi\u00f3n fue casi de shock. En una era donde las grandes producciones de fantas\u00eda apostaron todo al desaturado como sin\u00f3nimo de \u00abseriedad\u00bb, el equipo de <em>Masters of the Universe<\/em> tom\u00f3 una decisi\u00f3n que en otro contexto sonar\u00eda revolucionaria: hacer que el planeta Eternia se vea vibrante, saturado, vivo. Colores reales. Iluminaci\u00f3n que realza en lugar de apagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Masters of The Universe \u2013 Official Final Trailer\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rJSmz-zhDxE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travis Knight, que ya demostr\u00f3 con <em>Bumblebee<\/em> que pod\u00eda tomar una franquicia desgastada y devolverle la dignidad, apuesta fuerte en esta adaptaci\u00f3n del cl\u00e1sico de Mattel. La premisa es simple pero poderosa: Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine), criado en la Tierra, regresa a Eternia para descubrir que su hogar est\u00e1 bajo el control de Skeletor (Jared Leto), un hechicero con ganas de imponer su voluntad sobre el universo entero. Adam tendr\u00e1 que abrazar su destino como He-Man, el hombre m\u00e1s poderoso del universo, para salvar todo lo que conoce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EL ELENCO QUE ESTE HE-MAN SE MERECE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Galitzine lleva el peso protag\u00f3nico despu\u00e9s de ganarse el afecto del p\u00fablico con <em>The Idea of You<\/em>, y ac\u00e1 enfrenta un desaf\u00edo f\u00edsico y dram\u00e1tico de otra escala. A su lado, Camila Mendes interpreta a Teela \u2014capitana de la guardia y amor de Adam\u2014, mientras que Idris Elba se pone en la piel de Man-At-Arms, el general m\u00e1s confiable del reino. El tr\u00edo central funciona sobre el papel, y todo indica que en pantalla tambi\u00e9n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jared Leto como Skeletor es, quiz\u00e1s, la apuesta m\u00e1s arriesgada del proyecto. Un elenco que, sumado al score de Daniel Pemberton con colaboraci\u00f3n de Brian May de Queen, sugiere que nadie ac\u00e1 lleg\u00f3 a hacer el m\u00ednimo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>LA PREGUNTA QUE LA PEL\u00cdCULA TIENE QUE RESPONDER<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proyecto tuvo una historia de desarrollo tan accidentada que merece su propia serie documental: pas\u00f3 por Sony, luego por Netflix (que gast\u00f3 30 millones antes de cancelarlo), y finalmente lleg\u00f3 a Amazon MGM Studios con presupuesto de entre 170 y 200 millones de d\u00f3lares. Cada cambio de estudio tra\u00eda nuevos directores, nuevos actores, nuevos guionistas. El nombre de Noah Centineo qued\u00f3 para el anecdotario. Kyle Allen tambi\u00e9n. Al final, lleg\u00f3 Galitzine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Que el film haya sobrevivido a todo ese tr\u00e1nsito y llegue a las pantallas el pr\u00f3ximo junio es, en s\u00ed mismo, una peque\u00f1a victoria. Pero la apuesta real est\u00e1 en si el producto final puede estar a la altura de lo que las primeras im\u00e1genes sugieren: una pel\u00edcula de fantas\u00eda que abraza sus colores, sus personajes exagerados y su l\u00f3gica propia sin pedir disculpas. Si Knight logra trasladar al live-action la misma calidez que le puso a <em>Bumblebee<\/em>, <em>Masters of the Universe<\/em> podr\u00eda ser la sorpresa del a\u00f1o.
